I am having the time of my life finally being able to do most of the things other smart phones are able to do. I was never able to send text messages very well on other half-talking phones. I was very pleasantly surprised. The BlindShell Classic 2 is far more superior than the original Classic. I am having a great time playing games and reading things without having to call anyone. Initially, I was skeptical. I was so wrong.
Use it for talk, text, internet, Zoom, E-mail, Be My Eyes, very reliable, love the small size.
I had been using a Samsung Haven since September of 2013. I knew it was time to join the smart phone world. I feared the learning curve associated with an iPhone! I have had friends who ordered the iPhone only to return it and later to finally succomb and struggle to learn it. Some use keyboards to input information. I was not up to struggling so much and when I learned that the BlindShell had a phone that had several very nice features, I was interested. I especially like that one can dictate and also have access to Podcasts, YouTube, email, games, and more. I sent my first text last December. I like being able to text friends and family. I enjoy accessing Alexa. I look forward to further apps and upgrades as the phone seems to frequenty recieve software updates and new apps.
I am really feeling good about this phone. Finally, there is a phone I can use without going through a lot of stress. I am finally able to connect with my family and doctor by texting (was never able to do this before). I can hear what I write and make anyneeded corrections. I don't care for the name (wish they would change it, but am really enjoying the phone. I am able to read books from BARD library, Audibleand Book Share. Playing games,listening to movies and radio stations on the internet, podcasts. One of my favorite items to use is Google Lookout for reading food labels, mail, some signs, and evenhave it tell me what is in my immediate environment. I was going to be satisfied just having a phone with buttons, but it is so much more. Thereare a few glitches, but I have confidence that the companywill work them out. Thank you for this phone, and I hope that it lasts for a long time. Unlike some other phones, everything speaks on this one. The battery life is phenomenal (two days most of the time).
I received my blindshell classic2 about 8 months ago now. I'm really not a touch screen person, so when I came across the bsc2, I knew this is the phone for me. I just needed a phone to be able to make calls and text while using physical buttons instead of a screen. Once I got a hold of it and saw how easy it was to work, I started using alot of the other aps on the phone as well. Some of my favorits are skype lite, fb messenger, youtube, podcast player, checklist, be my eyes, aira, alexa, calendar, and the internet radio. just to name a few. even the games are decent. I play hangman from time to time. Being able to voice dictate text messages and calling contacts is very helpful. Adding contacts is a breeze on here as well. lol. I highly recommend this phone to anyone who may be thinking about trying it. Keep up the goodwork blindshell. looking forward to more accessible aps that are going to be added to the phone in the future. peace and God bless.
I have found the phone most useful in that I cannot double tap on any phone. I find the buttons and menus easy to use most of the time. I also find some of the apps useful particularly in my day to day life. For example use the calander all the time, I also use the Weather app and the step counter. I find the contacts very useful when making calls on a regular basis. Also the call history when looking for a person or number. I find it easy to add a new contact. I looks forward to new apps in the futuree and find the updates most useful.
I am new to the BlindShell community and this is my first cell phone ever and my first Venturing into the realm of technology. I'm an older person and found it very confusing and overwhelming to try and figure out what these devices do and if I could even learn how to use them. I was just about to give up technology when I heard about the BlindShell Classic 2 and I am so glad I found out about it. One of the things that really got me to buy it was the fact that everything is done with buttons and you can do so many things by dictating (speech-to-text). Also, the support for this phone is fantastic! This is something I did not find before when I was looking into a computer and etc... This phone has been an absolute miracle for me. It has opened up my world and how can I even begin to say thank you for that! I'm telling everyone I know about this phone, and many of them are buying it. I am so happy!
I had an iPhone, and wasn't too keen on the touch screen, as typing on them can be frustrating and time-consuming. I heard about the Blind Shell 2 with the keypad, so I ordered one. The keypad is easy to type on and much more accessible. I enjoy using the Podcast player and listen to my favourite podcasts before getting up in the morning. It's so easy to find what you are looking for both with this and with the YouTube app. Thank you for a wonderful accessible cell phone.
